I'd buy a rust-free beater and fix it up.

Well, with the cage, fuel cell, and seats and harness it'd probably be one of the safest vehicles you could buy... so you could try that angle with your parents...

My dad was checking out a 1978 corolla manual wagon (rwd baby) and the owner asked 400 dollars. My dad thought the lemons he bought before were in bad condition until he saw this. Dash with entrails spewing out (electronic ones)

Most Jalop car. With FWD?

I always was a big fan of anything Renault put a turbo on in it's days but there are more Jalop cars. Like the Cortinas, Alfas and BMWs used for vintage racing.

But you should buy it nevertheless!

Currently trying to convince mine to let me buy an Alfa 164. I've already persuaded them to let me buy a Land Rover so we'll see how it goes.
